  • Website Listing: FPPA members are entitled to a listing at www.paddleflausa.com. Members work to have FPPA's website address listed everywhere possible. Member sites include a reciprocal link to www.paddleflausa.com.

  • Office of Greenways and Trails under DEP (http://www.dep.state.fl.us/gwt) now has a direct link to FPPA website. Those looking for outfitters now come directly to FPPA.

  • Brochure Mailing: A permanent PO Box address is maintained for FPPA brochure requests. Requests come from individuals and FPPA listings in magazine articles, newspaper articles, and book listings. Mailing address is PO Box 1764 Arcadia, FL 34265

  • FPPA Vendor List: Member only access to list of vendors used by fellow members and FPPA exclusive discounts offered by vendors.

  • Brochure: 4-color rack card with link to website and to member directory. Rack card distributed through State Welcome Centers, tradeshows, Canoecopia, Chamber of Commerce, Visitor and Convention Bureaus, AAA offices, fellow member's places of business, and a myriad of other locations.
    Nature and Heritage Welcome Center/White Springs: FPPA maintains a display where members can have a brochure slot at a discount price.

  • Action Lists: Members receive periodic “action lists”, published by the President listing marketing opportunities, paddlesport and conservation information, “heads up” information, deals on equipment, and event announcements which includes a calendar of events   

  • FPPA Network , facilitated by FPPA, is a proven way to meet others and gain invaluable insight and information regarding the paddlesport industry. Over 90% of FPPA members have e-mail, which makes networking that much easier.

  • Bi-annual Meetings in February and September is a chance to paddle a different waterway, meet with other outfitters, and participate in workshops and industry updates. September meeting is north of Orlando and the February meeting is south of Orlando. Meeting date is the second Monday/Tuesday. Paddle trip and casual dinner on Monday, business meeting on Tuesday.

  • FPPA is listed as the paddling resource at:

  • Visit Florida Partner: FPPA is a Founding Partner of Visit Florida and participates in Visit Florida marketing and brochure distribution opportunities and promotes Visit Florida.

  • Co-op promotion: FPPA members promote each other

  • Information source: FPPA strives to be an information resource for it's members in regard to issues and needs that effect the paddlesport industry including insurance and regulations. FPPA members hear it first.

  • Legislative Updates: Whether you are a member or not, FPPA tries to keep the paddlesport industry up to date on legislative issues that affect the industry.

  •  State Agency and Committee Representation: FPPA members attend DEP, Recreational Users Meeting, Enterprise Florida, Visit Florida, BAC, FWC, and other agency and committee meetings whenever possible to stay up to date on issues.   

  • Buying Co-op: members work with each other, manufacturers, and dealers to obtain top prices. See FPPA Vendor List

  • Conservation Issues: Many of the members are actively involved in a variety of conservation organizations and associations and share that wealth of information with all.

  • Government Representation: Members work together to write, phone, e-mail, or otherwise communicate with the various state and federal agencies to make FPPA's voice heard in decisions that affect paddlesports.

  • Continuing Education: part of each bi-annual meeting is set-aside for speakers or workshops to further enlighten attending members.

  • Professional Paddlesports Association (PPA) works closely with FPPA and distributes FPPA brochures. Many members are also a member of PPA (the national paddlesport association). http://www.propaddle.com

  • FPPA Affiliations: Besides being a Visit Florida partner, FPPA is also a member and a supporter of the Florida Outdoor Writers Association (FOWA) and the Florida Paddling Trails Association (FPTA). FPPA members also attend the FOWA annual conference and hand out brochures.

Membership in FPPA costs $100 annually. Join for $110 and you can have a 4-color ad (see rotating ads on right hand side) on the website. You make the ad or we can do it for you.
